Our Mission

Monadnock Region

When asked what we do, our by-laws describe our purpose this way: “The Greater Monadnock Collaborative – Regional Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the commercial, industrial, educational, cultural, recreational, and general welfare of New Hampshire’s Monadnock Region.”

The GMC engages the diverse sectors of our regional economy with a common goal of creating a better business community, and a better community in which to live, work, visit, and learn.

We have offices located at 48 Central Square in downtown Keene, NH and 20 Grove Street, Suite 200, Peterborough NH.

The GMC is a 501(c)(6) membership organization that works to serve the needs of the membership through a variety of networking, educational, marketing, and community programs.

Julie Schoelzel (President & CEO) works alongside a fantastic team that includes Michelle DellaVita (Director of Development & Community Engagement), and Jessica Johansson (Member Engagement Coordinator).

GMC is not a member of the US Chamber of Commerce.

When issues arise in the community where it is appropriate for the Chamber to take a public position, the following process will be followed:

1. The issue is brought to the President or an Executive Committee member;

2. The Executive Committee reviews the issue and, if there is consensus, the issue is brought to the full Board for discussion and decision;

3. The Executive Committee will gather and report information on both sides of the issue.
